1. Compose a letter of application explaining why the applicant wishes
to enter the food service industry. It is important that the applicant detail his/her
background and experience and state why you selected Gulf Coast Community College.
(a) What skills do you posses that will aid in your development towards
becoming a restaurant manager/chef or caterer?
(b) Why do you wish to be considered for this particular program?
2. Complete a Gulf Coast Community College application form. Copy is
retained in culinary office student file.
3. Take Gulf Coast Community College Placement Test and have
results posted with the Culinary Management
office.
4. Make an appointment for personal interview with Program Chairman. Out
of state students may delay this interview but must complete prior to start of classes.
5. Submit your personal résumé.
