Chef Paul's achievements, which fall
under the umbrella of the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group include Pano's
and Paul's restaurant. Known as much for his gracious style and work
ethics as he is for his culinary talents, these achievements heightened
Atlanta's fine dining standards to what they are today.
A graduate of the Hotel and
Restaurant School in Munich , Germany, he began his career learning all
aspects of the business at four star restaurants in Germany and
Switzerland. He then became the sous chef at the Hotel Beau Rivage and
the Restaurant Grand Chene in Lausanne, Switzerland; proceed to
executive sous chef at the Hotel Sonesta in Washington D.C.; then
progressed to the position of executive chef at the Lodge of the
Four Seasons in Missouri.

He opened his renowned Pano's
and Paul's restaurant in 1979, with many, also renowned, restaurants to
follow.
He has received numerous
awards including the 1989 Atlanta Chef of the Year as voted by his
culinary peers, was named one of the four "Master Chefs of
America" by California Gourmet, was Atlanta's selected chef in the
national SOS Home Cookbook, and was chosen to represent the southeast at
the American Institute of Food and Wine National Conference in
Chicago.
In addition, he was spotlighted
in PBS' national "Great Chefs of Great Cities" program,
appeared on "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee," and CNN, as well
as a number of regional television programs.
Albrecht has complemented
his work with involvement in confrerie de la Chaine de Rotisseurs,
Atlanta's Table (, American Culinary Federation, Atlanta Chamber of
Commerce, and the Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association of Food
& Wine," as well as celebrity chef at numerous charities
throughout Atlanta and the country.
