| Gulf Coast enjoys an
student foreign exchange program with our sister-college in Biarritz, France. Each
year one or two of our students have the opportunity to travel to and work for six weeks
in Biarritz, France at our sister campus, the Lycée Hotelier de Biarritz. Biarritz is
located at the southwestern tip of France, on the Atlantic Ocean, 11
kilometers north of Spain. The Lycée is a
well-regarded hospitality and culinary school in France where students train, learn and
work for several years in the areas of the cuisine, dining room and beverage operations,
hotel and hospitality operations and management. Now in its sixth year, the
exchange program offers a wonderful
chance of a lifetime experience, allowing students to visit and work with
Michelin star-rated French chefs in respected restaurants and health spas. The French students who join us each summer live
in area homes and work at a
variety of local restaurants and hotels.
