| | The Culinary Arts Department has seven full scholarships made available
by funds received from special events and fundraisers conducted by the students.
A full-time scholarship is $1,200 for the year. Partial scholarships for $600
may also be available for finishing students and those attending on a reduced
load schedule. All students that have successfully completed one full semester
in the culinary program and that are in good academic standing with the college
are eligible to apply for scholarship. The scholarship committee meets in March
to review scholarship applications for the following year. Students interested
will submit a 750 word typed essay with current GPA to be considered for
Culinary Scholarships.
| Jobs: Area restaurants and businesses often inquire about
students being available for work. These notices are announced in classes and at ACF
meetings. The culinary classroom SU-62 also has all announcements and job notices posted. Scholarship
Information: The college offers numerous opportunities for student assistance.
Additionally, the Culinary Management Program provides scholarship assistance for
qualified students. Application dates are announced in classes and posted in the
classroom, SU-62.
The American Culinary Federation Education Institute is also a source of
financial assistance through the Ray and Gertrude Marshall Scholarship Fund. Scholarship
deadlines are February 15, June 15 and October 15. |
