Chef Nalovic earned his Bachelors of Science from Vanderbilt University and then embarked on a career in Culinary Arts. He received his culinary degree from Gulf Coast Community College, where he was selected for the Escoffier award, our highest award, given to the most outstanding student of the year. Chef Nalovic was the State of Florida Gold Medallist in the hot foods competition for VICA and then went on to win the National Silver Medal for 1997 in Kansas City .

Chef Navolic began his career as chef on a tour ship, sailing the Pacific off the coast of Alaska. After graduation from culinary school he worked with Chef Johnny Earles, at Criolla's in Grayton Beach, then to Charlie Trotter's in Chicago, Daniel's in New York City, and finally to Niceville, Florida where he owns Cayenne Café Catering.
